MY
TAKE ON THE RECENT BAN ON THE USE OF EARPIECE IN THE COLLEGE AREA COLLEGE
OF MEDICINE, UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS.
My take is this, what took them [the school authority] so long?
Our silence in d past has made the management of this once upon a time great school to be bolder.
If memory serves me right, 2 years ago, there was a ban on student protest in the college & we all accepted it hook, line & sinker. But if d Federal Government refuses to yield to their plight, they don't hesitate in paralyzing our educational proceedings to ensure that d Federal Government give them their rights.
The following are the problems that I can pin point without even thinking;

The following are the problems that I can pin point without even thinking;
1.
Student hostel generator has
been faulty, hence not in use for over 8weeks.
2.
Presently there has been NO
LIGHT for over 8hours.
3.
Also presently, there is no
water in the most of the blocks in the student hostel.
4.
This is exam period and
students are not allowed to use the classes anything after 2am (before it was to our
heart fill).
5.
Block 6 solar panel is the
only functional solar panel, all other are spoilt, and we use to read under
these lights in the past but now no more.
And many other
problems that you & I know. I'm not saying that we should protest, but
I'm just saying that if we remain silent about this INSULT OF D HIGHEST ORDER,
then let's expect worse.
Very soon the following can & will start;
Very soon the following can & will start;
1.
Male and female students MUST
NOT been seen walking together after 8pm.
2.
Ban on visit to opposite sex
hostel.
3.
Ban on the use of mobile
devices and laptops.
4.
Students must adhere to the
NEW SCHOOL UNIFORM, go to the student affairs office to book for yours.
This is just
Charles McAustine’s opinion.
